Who we are
nth Ventures s.r.o. ("nth Ventures", "we", "us") decides how and why your personal data is used. In legal terms, we are the controller.

We have not appointed a data protection officer, because the law does not require one for a company of our size and activity. Write to hello@nth-ventures.com with any privacy question or request.
What we collect and why
When you write to us
Through the contact form you give us your name, your email address, your organization (optional), the topic you choose and your message. We also note whether you ticked "Tell me when your products launch." If you tick it, we also record how you ticked it (with the "Tell me at launch" button or by hand), when, and which version of this notice was shown.
We use this to read your message, reply to you and continue the conversation you started. If you ask about working with us, we also use it to prepare a proposal.
When you ask to hear about our launch
If you tick the launch box, we use your name and email address to send you an email when our products launch. We send nothing else to this list.
When you visit the website
Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes the technical data any website needs to deliver its pages: your IP address, the date and time, the page you asked for and your browser type. We use this data to run the site and keep it secure.
To block spam, the contact form has a hidden field that only automated bots fill in, and we may limit how many messages one IP address can send in a short time. We do not use this data to identify you or build a profile of you.
No cookies, no tracking
This website does not set cookies, does not use analytics and does not follow you across other websites. Our fonts are served from our own website, so your visit is not reported to a font provider.

You can withdraw your consent to the launch email at any time: use the unsubscribe link in the email, reply to it, or write to hello@nth-ventures.com. Withdrawing does not affect anything we did before you withdrew, and it does not affect our reply to your message.
Do you have to give us your data?
No. But we need your name, your email address and, for most topics, a message to be able to reply. The launch box is optional. Leaving it unticked has no effect on our reply.
Who receives your data
We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
These service providers process your data for us. Each one works under a data processing agreement that binds it to our instructions and to keeping your data secure.

Vercel and Resend also keep limited technical data, such as security and delivery logs, under their own privacy policies.
We disclose personal data to public authorities only when the law requires it.
Transfers outside the European Union
Our three providers are based in the United States, so your data may be processed there. Each transfer is protected by the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission (Decision (EU) 2021/914), which are part of each provider's data processing agreement. Resend is also certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission has found to provide adequate protection.

How long we keep your data

Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it.
- Correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
- Delete your data, unless we must keep it by law.
- Restrict how we use your data, for example while we check a correction you asked for.
- Object to our use of your data where we rely on our legitimate interest. We will stop unless we have compelling reasons, such as defending a legal claim.
- Take your data with you (data portability) in a common electronic format, for the data you gave us under a contract or with your consent.
- Withdraw your consent to the launch email at any time.
To use any of these rights, write to hello@nth-ventures.com. It is free. We reply within one month. If a request is complex, we may need up to two more months, and we will tell you within the first month if so. If we cannot be sure the request comes from you, we may ask you to write from the email address you used to contact us.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In the Czech Republic, that is:

You can also complain to the authority in the EU country where you live or work. We would appreciate the chance to fix the problem first, so please write to us too.
No automated decisions
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing, and we do not profile you. A person reads every message and decides how to reply.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice when the way we handle your data changes, for example if we start using a newsletter service. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change affects the people on our launch list, we will tell them by email before it applies.
